Helbako GmbH from Heiligenhaus takes positive stock of the IAA motor show. The specialist for automotive electronics presented a new development at the IAA that is of great interest for the future topic of “autonomous driving”.
Most driver assistance systems require sensors that reliably detect the vehicle’s environment during autonomous driving – which only works if the sensors are not dirty. Helbako has developed an innovative system for the efficient cleaning of the growing number of sensors, which has aroused great interest among trade visitors. An integrated variant of this system was developed with the partner and tank and plastics specialist “Röchling Automotive” and presented for the first time at its stand at the IAA.
“The positive response at the IAA has confirmed our resolve to continue working on intelligent solutions for the cars of tomorrow,” says a delighted Bernd Kappes, a member of the management team at Helbako GmbH. With the help of Helbako’s integrated control system, the cleaning fluid is intelligently directed to dirty sensors, headlights and front and rear windows.
